Unprepared: Tape and Rollered
After testing and re-testing various paint systems to find the best, without the need for preparation, we can offer this budget product.
Popular with facilities that may not require a highly durable system, or whose budget is restricted, or more often than not, where the customer is not permitted to prepare the concrete floor in anyway due to leasing conditions and agreements with landlords. The term ‘Unprepared’ means that we simply clean the necessary areas then paint using a high-quality Acrylic paint.
Shot Blast
A durable and versatile method of floor marking makes shot blasting the preferred choice of many clients. Shot blasting adds considerable longevity to the lines.
Specified for facilities with busy FLT movements, shot blasting can be installed on most floors. This it suitable for both old and new warehouses or distribution centres which require a cost-effective floor marking system, but offers a much greater durability than with unprepared.
Shot Blasting is a preparation method where we use a fully enclosed Shot Blasting Machine. There is a suction system and magnet attached to it which means no shot disperses into the surrounding areas.
The system creates a ‘Key’ for the paint to adhere to and this creates the longevity. We use a high quality 2-part Epoxy resin paint in a choice of colours.
Diamond Shaved
Diamond Shaved line marking is a powerful visual impact product which gives the most durable finish of all. With this system we use a completely different preparation method. The method of preparation gives by far the greatest longevity than any other line marking system.
Diamond shaved line marking is a specialised method developed for the warehouse and distribution industry. The nature of a busy warehouse environment means that the market requires a system that will withstand constant FLT traffic over the lines, zebras, marshalling lanes etc.
Diamond shaving is the process of ‘shaving’ an area of the concrete floor surface. To create a 100mm line wide for instance, we cut a ‘trough’ into the floor approx. 1mm - 3mm deep (depending on the floor) using a special Diamond Cutting Machine. The paint is then poured into the trough allowing the paint to settle becoming flush with the concrete either side of the line. This means that any FLT’s/ MHE running over the lines will have minimum contact with the paint.
The edge of the line created during this method provides a very accurate, crisp and clean finish. Something not possible with other methods such as Shot Blasting and Unprepared where the paint lies on top of the floor surface that could incur ‘Mechanical Damage’ such as dragging pallets over the lines.
